BOO-CODA Spook-Tacular takes place the whole month of October! Plan now to get scared and have fun! You will enjoy the Scary-Nights Haunted House every Friday and Saturday, the Pine Box Derby Casket and Zombie Parade & Races Oct. 5th, the Hearse Procession and Viewing, Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast and Vendor Fair Oct. 12th,  KMNT Family Fun and Fright Day (Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast, Jack-O-Lantern and Coloring Contest, Face Painting, Balloon Artist, Games, Monster Mash Dance, and Vendor Fair) Oct. 19th,  Family Friendly Haunted House Oct. 25th-26th, Thrill the World Thriller Dance Oct. 26th and Trick or Treat Oct. 1st-31st at Joe's Place. BOO-CODA is, by Town Council Proclamation, what the Town of Bucoda, WA is called all throughout the month of October! 


BOO-CODA is a spooky little town, located only 3 miles outside of Tenino.  BOO-CODA comes alive during the month of October to host one of the best Haunted Houses in Washington State every Friday and Saturday night, as well as many other family fun events all throughout the month! See the calendar below for a complete list of events!

Pine Box Derby Casket & Zombie Parade and Races, Vendor Fair & Haunted House

            Pine Box Derby Casket & Zombie Parade and Races

                                  Presented By East Side Big Tom

The BOO-Coda Spook-Tacular Pine Box Derby Casket and Zombie Parade and Races will take place in downtown Bucoda, Washington on Saturday, October 5, 2019.


Casket Races Teams and Zombie Racers must participate in the Pine Box Derby Casket & Zombie Parade to compete in the races. 

An announcer will read about each Casket Race Team and Zombie Group. After the parade Casket Race Teams and Zombies will proceed onto Pit Row and prepare for the Casket and Zombie Races. 


Timeline:

8:00am-10:00am Registration, Casket inspection and set up in Pit Row

10:30am Casket Race Team and Zombie Meeting (in front of the Bucoda Public Square) for review of rules. 

10:45am Casket Race Team and Zombies Lineup for Casket and Zombie Parade

11:00am Casket and Zombie Parade

11:30am Pit Row Lineup 

12:00pm Casket and Zombie Races Start

3:30pm Award Ceremony for Casket and Zombie Races


The awards ceremony will be presented in front of Bucoda Town Square at 3:30pm or after last Casket Race, whichever is later.  Zombie Awards will be both for Race Times and Costume: Race age groups with be under 8, 9-13, 14-18 and 19 and over. Only first place in each age group will be awarded. Costume awards will be for Best Adult Male Zombie, Best Adult Female Zombie, Best Youth Male Zombie, Best Youth Female Zombie, and Best Zombie Group. Casket Race awards will be presented for the three 1st, 2nd, 3rd Places, and Dead last and the fastest team in the following Categories: Business, Non-Profit, School, Government Agency (Mayors Cup), Youth (under 18 years old), Family (2 Adults, 2 Children under 18), as well as for Scariest Casket, Most Unique Casket and Best Costumed Team & Cortege.


Vendor Fair  9am to 4pm Between Liberty Market and Joes Place


Food Vendor will open 9am to 4 pm


Haunted House Open 7 (dark) to 11PM  

Open Friday 10/4 and Saturday 10/5

Pancake Breakfast 9am to 11am


Hearse Procession will be held on Main Street

Sign Up and stage 10:00AM for Hearse procession  

Procession starts at 11:30am


Newly Dead Game starts at noon in the building at 204 S. Main Street

       Test how well you know the wishes of your partner. 


Vendors 9am to 4pm will be located at 114S Main St. Bucoda Public Square (between Joes and Liberty Market)


Haunted House will be open 7pm (Dark) to 11pm

Come in costume. For boils and ghouls 12 and under and those old souls who are young at heart.

Admission - $5 per person or four non-perishable food items (not ramen) $20 - per family or a clean usable coat, blanket, or bike. 

Free tickets available for underprivileged youth at the Tenino Food Bank.

Enter at your own risk.
